Weekend PC game deals: Stock up on Fallout, endless demos and more

It’s time for another Humble Choice. October’s selection has Arkane’s latest immersive sim headlining. In total, the pack contains eight games that you can grab in one package.

The games included are Death Loop, Monster Train First Class Edition, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope, Disciples: Liberation, Maid of Skier, Epic Chef, Railroad Corporation, and Golf field.

You get all eight games if you join Humble Choice’s one-time $11.99 subscription tier. You also get additional benefits such as access to a selection of DRM-free games in the Humble Games collection and a growing discount on the Humble Store.

Humble also introduced two new game packs this week, and the first is the RPG Legends Collection.

This carries enhanced editions of Icewind Dale and planescape for $1, followed by Neverwinter Nights completednext to Baldur’s Gate I, its DLC, and Baldur’s Gate II for $10. The third and final tier costs $20 to pick up and only adds one item, which is a copy of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous.

Humble also introduced a Warhammer Vermintide franchise Bundle just yesterday. This offers the first Vermintide for $1, while the second tier for $10 offers Vermintide 2. The higher you level up, the more expansions and DLC you receive, with 19 additional content items available in the final tier for $18.

Rising Hell and Slain Back from Hell Free

Epic also didn’t forget to implement its weekly freebie, which brings Rise from Hell and Killed: Return from Hell to replace the one from last week Rainbow and the Drone Racing League Sim gifts.

Rising Hell offers a roguelite experience in randomly generated levels filled with vertical platforms and enemies. Slain: Back from Hell also has plenty of enemies and bosses to take down, but with a focus on providing more of a challenge. Both games feature metal soundtracks to keep the action going.

It’s demo fest time again on Steam, with the store’s latest edition of Next Fest kicking off earlier this week. You have until October 10 to check out gameplay slices from upcoming indie titles, of which there are hundreds in almost every genre imaginable. As for the regular free weekends that are currently live, there are several top games available to try. Getting Things Started Belongs to Bethesda Fallout 76, the open-world multiplayer RPG set in the popular post-apocalyptic setting, opens until the end of the weekend for everyone. Also free to play this weekend is Humanitythe 4X strategy game developed by Amplitude for those looking for a Civ-like strategy experience.

At the same time, multiplayer medieval combat entry Mordhau as well as the 2D cooperative submarine simulator Barotrauma also have free promotions on weekends.
