Apple event unlikely in October despite many new devices expected

While new iPad and Mac models are expected to be announced this month, BloombergMark Gurman believes that Apple is unlikely to hold a media event in October this year.

Gurman said “the big iPhone 14 unveiling last month was likely for Apple in 2022 in terms of major presentations,” suggesting other new products this year would be announced with press releases, press briefings and updates from Apple’s online store.

Updated versions of the iPad Pro, MacBook Pro and Mac mini — all featuring M2-series chips — are “very likely to launch” before the end of 2022, according to Gurman. He also said that an updated Apple TV with an A14 chip and additional RAM is “coming closer and could potentially launch this year.”

Apple prepares iOS 16.0.3 with more bug fixes after iPhone 14 launch

iOS 16.0.2 was released last month with several bug fixes for iPhone 14 issues, excessive copy-and-paste permission prompts, and more. Now the evidence suggests that Apple plans to release iOS 16.0.3 soon with additional bug fixes.

Apple Rumored to Launch 27-inch Mini-LED Display in Q1 2023

Apple plans to release an external monitor with a 27-inch mini-LED display in the first quarter of 2023, according to Ross Young, analyst at Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC).

Apple’s next display is said to feature mini-LED technology as well as ProMotion support, enabling a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It’s unclear whether the monitor would be branded as a display studio or would have a different name.
